form follows space+
one space, one material, one place to sit
ba 2 project
an experiment in hybrid space: how does the design process evolve when analog and digital tools merge? what new hybrid aesthetics emerge when space and objects are generated using ai tools? how
does the choice of materiality influence form, function, and atmosphere? this task is an experimental design process in hybrid space, where physical, digital, and immersive design methods
intersect. artificial intelligence (ai), virtual reality (vr), augmented reality (ar), and traditional tools such as models and sketches interact, offering a new perspective on material, form,
and space.
the assignment involves designing a 3x3x3m spatial volume—the form follows space+—including a seating element, using a single continuous material—whether solid, soft, or fluid, such as wood,
paper, wax, or other media. this project challenges designers to perceive materiality not merely as a physical substance but as an active principle of spatial definition. the design process is
non-linear, engaging in a dynamic interplay between real, hybrid, and virtual worlds.

spiral space - infinity in fragments
is a spatial sculpture made of rhythmically layered panels. originally designed as a continuous spiral, it evolved into a sequence of precise segments that create the illusion of spiral movement. repeated forms generate optical depth and a dynamic pull into the space. walls, floor, and ceiling merge into an organic whole. integrated seating niches follow the spiral’s flow, inviting visitors to pause and experience the sculptural space.
sacred cylinder

sacred cylinder
the space is conceived as a cylindrical retreat, fully lined with cardboard, radiating warmth, simplicity, and focus. a central seating platform beneath a circular roof opening becomes the focal point, while natural light sets deliberate accents. the minimal design creates a calm, almost sacred atmosphere.
evolution - between gravity and air

evolution - between gravity and air
the starting point is a heavy clay sphere, symbolizing the origin as a primal cell. it serves as a central seating object. around it, an evolutionary process unfolds: through cell division, lighter forms emerge, eventually transforming into airy bubbles that rise and drift away.
